Are you really ready? When you look in the mirror are you capable of accepting the reflections of your own truths? Have you ever had a boss that was jealous of you and did what they could to thwart you? Has anyone had a stepmother whose jealousy drove her to rip your image out of pictures and ostracize you from your family. Have you ever had a group of friends who protected you from a bully?
These moments can all be associated with the Grimm’s fairy tale, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Really? Yep. Snow White deals with fears and wishes, the anger and fear of getting older, the destructiveness of pride and self-love, not following directions of those who would help you, the terror and fear of growing up and of course, the mirror, that always tells the truth.
We are continuously finding themes in our lives that are consistent with themes running thru the original versions of so many fairy tales. The deeper themes are not found in the Disney versions. You have to go way back and read the original versions. They are where the truth can be found. The true mirrors.
By the way, do you know what really happened to the seven dwarves? Ahhh, that is another story!
What a wonderful story, and the way you told it tonight just made it come to life for all of us. Ah yes, I know now what happened to the seven dwarfs....stark raving reality!

I love the original versions. So true about Disney. I would have loved to hear you tell Snow White.

I agree--real life stories and fictional stories often collide with one another! By the way, YES--thanks to you--I do know what happened to the dwarfs. - Leah
