I really never saw myself as a person that would play Dungeons and Dragons (D&D), but when my husband and I returned from living in Germany we began to play. We love it because it reminds us of Germany. First, D&D is a fantasy realm table top role-playing game. This is where a person can embody a role that they created, crafted, and designed the origin of within the confines of the realm. A realm is the setting in which the story will take place and the most widely used is the Forgotten Realms.
This is my first time in playing D & D and the storyteller within me has emerged with a great force. I love pulling in the mystical experience that I had living in Germany for my gnome wizard character, like dealing with the deep forest creatures. I really enjoy this game and how it allows everyone to be a storyteller. For example, Vona, my character, faced a battle with the dark church. Along with myself, three other characters Gajeel, the dragon born, Lagertha, the sorcerer and Atticus the Elf came inside the church with me and Gajeel touched a sword he thought was legendary.
As Gajeel touched the sword, the villain of the story Straud appeared and bit Gajeel in the neck, paralyzing him, leaving the three of us to fight him. Lagertha got on his broom and flew in the air and Atticus threw arrows but nothing happened. Straud didn’t flee until my character Vona threw her fireball and her magic missile. We haven’t defeated him yet, but I’m confident that we will!
That is a small example of excitement I have during Dungeons and Dragons. I love dungeons and dragons, I love the storytelling, I love the excitement, I love the comradery, and I would that suggest everyone play at least once.
The image at the top is similar to my character, Vona.
After reading this post, I would like to play. I have never been interested in the game, but you are so enthusiastic. I love the tie with Germany.
